Fagforbundet
Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees (NUMGE)

Fagforbundet is the largest union in LO (The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions), with more than 300,000 members. The members work in the private sector, for local and county governments and in the hospitals. Apprentices and students are also welcome as members.

More than 100 different occupational groups are represented in the union. The members are organised into four divisions:
- Division for Health and Social Services (SHS)
- Division for Church, Culture, Children and Youth (SKKO)
- Division for Public Transport and Technical Staff (SST)
- Division for Office and Administration (SKA)

Fagforbundet´s main task is to ensure that our members´pay and job conditions are good and secure.

The union was established in June 2003. Jan Davidsen is the president of the organization.
